The Dream of Gold
2012

As J. R. R. Tolkien lamented, “If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold,
it would be a merrier world.” People dream of sterling gold all the time, as a unit of currency to
exchange/obtain greater good.

We believe that happiness, is finding that pot of gold. In this series of postcard design,
we present gold bars in relation to a list of worthwhile pursuits:
Freedom, Youth, Truth, Beauty, Fame, Health, Love, Happiness, Hope, Glory.

Coupled with stylish typography and paper craft, we created a series gold bars that carries an individual message on each of them. The shiny reflective surface echoes each of the commodity it seeks to represent.
