As Singapore's national performing arts centre, Esplanade is guided by their social mission to entertain, engage, educate and inspire through the arts. Their calendar of events span cultures, languages and genres, out of which 70% are presented free for all to enjoy. Esplanade regularly present world-renowned companies and artists to complement it's own diverse offerings for audiences.
21 is often considered a significant age—one that marks new beginnings, responsibilities and opportunities. For Esplanade, turning 21 meant refining and homing in on it's core mission with renewed energy and vigour, that arts can enhance one's sense of wellbeing and connection to their communities, and that they remain committed to creating a diversity of programmes while supporting the next generation.
We were excited to be commissioned by Esplanade once again to design their latest FY2023 annual report. This year’s annual report takes readers on an immersive journey into the heart of Esplanade, where multi-disciplinary art forms comes alive across every stage. Drawing inspiration from the diverse characters that embody Esplanade's many facets, these characters will guide the audience through the report, transforming data and infographics into an interactive storytelling journey. Each section will feel like a performance, offering readers not only insights into Esplanade's milestones but also an artistic experience that mirrors the rich, cultural world Esplanade presents to the public. This approach blends art and information, engaging readers in a creative exploration of the past year’s highlights.
