FACTORY designed a commemorative publication for the 20th anniversary of NTU School of Art, Design and Media. The project frames twenty years as both memory and momentum, still ahead of the curve.
The edition is housed in a multicoloured acrylic box set available in two colour-ways. The case reads as an object of light, echoing the school’s iconic glass facades and their unwavering reflections. Inside, the main volume carries a silver cover with rainbow hot foil that renders the title and a line drawing of the building. The material palette signals a contemporary celebration and continuity.
Content is built around voices from the community. Extensive interviews were carried out across Alumni, faculty, and staff, whom share their favourite memories tied to an object or a space within the school, assembling a portrait of learning through lived experience. Form follows idea. The book is conceived as the school's longest extended accordion book, a single unfolding plane that measures 11.4 metres when fully extended. The continuous spine becomes an intimate timeline, a chain of stories, and a physical metaphor for unbroken bonds across two decades. The result is a publication that operates as keepsake and exhibition in one.
