For the House; Against the House is an art experience organised by OH! Open House as part of the Singapore Art Week 2021, which looks at social issues in Singapore through a unique debate format where art establishes the arguments. As with all forms of debate, people are to form their own opinions and take a stance; are they for or against the house? The branding is a nuanced approach of reflecting the concept of a 'divided' house, and how the conversations take place within the brackets forms that constitutes the identity
The cover design of the collector's book introduces this concept of the 'divided' house, through its beautifully blind embossed title typography balanced in a radiating composition against a cool grey paper stock. This visual language carries throughout the publication, providing a strong but neutral framework for the viewers on the outside looking in through the artwork collection and arguments that are put forth.
